2009

Year in Review

This year featured a decidedly mixed combination of books and one oddity in particular: the selection One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch is No. 2 in our Top-Rated Titles index, yet doesn’t feature at all among our Favourites. In fact, this is the least-loved year: the only book to feature in our Favourites list is Edith Wharton’s Ethan Frome. Spare a thought for one title, however: The Pillowman is a Pulitzer-prize winning play, yet does not feature among the Favourites.
